ROBBIE
Well last night was the Robbie concert. His tickets had sold out in half an hour on a day that i was at work. Luckily for me a friend had a spare ticket (thanks Cathy) and so the two of us headed off to Subi oval at one o'clock to queue. Officially the earliest that I have ever got to a concert. Anyway have to say that with a magazine in hand and lots of chatting the time sped by and finally at 5 we were let in. Well talk about chaos there were people running everywhere despite the announcer saying "please dont run there is plenty of room for everyone". Then it was a case of sit on the floor for another two hours. When we eventually all stood up, i think i now know what a stampede feels like as people were pushing from behind (we were two people from the front of the stage), and then it was like a game of dominoes with people falling left right and centre. I reckon that by the end of the night at least 15 had had to be helped from the crowd. Anyway once we got through the support band it was another wait and finally at 830 Robbie came on, fireworks, flames and all. He sang all the old favs as well as Back for good the former take that song ( a fav of mine, can see Bill cringing at this point!).....I must say that whenever he is here next time i am there. He has such an amazing energy on the stage and was able to just keep the crowd with him all night. He performed for much longer than usual and by 1030 i think was rather shattered. So all in all a fantastic time and hope that he is back soon.
Have a hectic week coming up this week with these talks and work, but all good.
hope that you are all well : )
